HOW TO USE THE MBL ECOSYSTEM
ABOUT MYBRANCHLINK
MBL is the central hub domain that connects users to branch-specific directory apps. Tap here to access and download available military branch apps and platform resources as they go live. MBL also houses SMO, legal pages, feedback, and brand resources for the entire ecosystem.
FINDING BASE CONTACT INFO
BASELINE gives you two different ways to find contact numbers:
1. BASELINE Search (Offline Database)
Searches contacts saved directly inside the app. Lightning fast and works even with no cell service or Wi-Fi.
Best for:
Finding common base services quickly when you have no internet connection.
2. HUBLyne Search (Custom Search Engine)
Not a traditional search engine. HUBLyne filters results exclusively through trusted military and government directories — cutting out the noise and returning only verified official contact data.
Why better:
A normal internet search returns millions of random results. HUBLyne only surfaces official sources so you can trust what you find.
Note:
Requires an active data plan or Wi-Fi connection.
ABOUT SMO — SEVEN MONTHS OUT
SMO — Seven Months Out — is your personal military transition tool. A supplementary tool designed to help service members navigate the transition or separation process from start to finish. It does not store or transmit your personal data — ever.
Secure Storage:Auto-scans and organizes documents into a dually secured folder on your device.
Checklist:Tracks your progress against critical appointment and submission deadlines.
Supervisor Window:Lets supervisors verify progress without viewing actual documents.
Calendar:Tracks critical appointments and links to transition resources.
SMO collects zero user data. No personal information is stored on our servers or visible to our team at any time.
HOW TO DIAL USING DSN
The Defense Switched Network (DSN) is the internal private telephone system for the Department of Defense. It allows personnel to communicate across bases worldwide without commercial long-distance lines.
Internal Base Calls
If on the same base, typically dial the last 5 or 7 digits of the DSN number.
Base-to-Base Calls (CONUS)
When calling a different base within the Continental United States, dial the full 7-digit DSN number.
Overseas / Inter-Area Calls
To reach a base in a different region, include the 3-digit Area Prefix (e.g., 314 for Europe) plus the 7-digit number.
If you are using your personal cell phone, you cannot dial a DSN number directly. Use the Commercial phone number listed in the app. If only a DSN number is available, you will need a base landline.
SUBMITTING A CORRECTION
Found an incorrect or disconnected number? Use the Corrections page to submit a report directly to our development team. Accuracy is the top priority. Your corrections make the app better for every service member who uses it.
